Motorola Out With New Sholes
In 2008, Motorola went through a steep slump in its global market share. However, in the beginning of this year Motorola managed to pull it off by earning a decent profit. And now it’s time for Motorola’s much awaited Android -powered Smartphone. (There is going to be around another twenty Android devices towards the end of 2009, one of them being a Samsung launch - Samsung i7500 and two other products by Motorola. G1 and Magic from HTC have already been introduced, while Acer and Sony Ericsson are expected to come out with their Android gadgets by the end of this year- that is 2009.) So that will make a bunch of Android Smartphones in the market, but Motorola’s Sholes is {anticipated} to top all other Android devices, both in terms of looks and applications.
A Quick Lool At Motorola’s Sholes -
The first time when a little while ago, in July, the pictures of Motorola Sholes leaked out, it turned out to be no dissimilar to what people had hoped. With that I do not mean the design and features of Sholes weren’t good - the visual aspect is worth a look. Also, Motorola may be the first Android manufacture to support a physical keyboard.
The Expected Features of Motorola Sholes Are -
• 3.7 inch touch screen(capacitance based)
• 5 mega pixel autofocus camera
• GPS(Global Positioning System)
• Bluetooth 2.0
• A slide out QUERTY keyboard
• 256 MB RAM and 512 ROM
• A micro SDHC slot supposedly supporting card up to 16GB size
• WiFi
• 3.5mm standard headphone jack
That truly seems like a whole lot of killer applications.
Motorola Sholes’s Launch-
On September 10th, Motorola made a little announcement about Android in San Francisco.
Motorola’s Sholes is speculated to be introduced in public sometime in this month. Hopefully, the resulting Sholes that is brought to the market meets people’s expectations as the look of Motorola’s Sholes did.
