Civilization 3 Strategy Game Information

I believe, Civilization 3 was one of the best computer games ever devised. Apart from Civ 3, the strategy games that I used to play ordinarily were Rise of Nations, Age of Empires, and Command & Conquer In comparison to these pc games, the one attribute I didn’t like about Civilization 3 was that it was a turn-based game. Because of this, you cannot play a multiplayer game with other gamers. If you wanted real pleasure playing video games, you want to play a multiplayer game.

Civilizations that I played most often in Civilization 3 were the Persians, the Romans, and the Americans. The above 3 were favored civilizations, and I never played random, I always picked one of the 3 civilizations to play. Civilization 3 game itself is easy, and most people should pick up the game rapidly without hassle. As it is turn based, I remember I even went and had my dinner, and when I came back it was still other player’s turn. On a slow computer it cans a long while to load. The game is more fun during the middle ages, as you have quite a few resources and technology, and as such you can successfully wage wars.

Culture was a tool that I used to try to win over the other sides. For border areas, it is important that they are happy, and if they aren’t they might switch allegiance. The fights in Civilization 3 are quite insignificant, you have these small figures fighting but the tank battles are some of the most fun. In the game, tanks are one of my favorite units.

Since sometime Civilization 3 was released, it was followed by numerous expansion packs like Conquests, and Play of the world. A later version of Civilization 3 called Civilization 4 was introduced and it had expansion packs of its own. I was in college at this time, and playing games wasn’t really at the top of my priority. At this point, I am hearing rumors of Civ 5.
